ArtHeart Vol. 12: Animal Photography
HELLO EVERYONE!! :happybounce:  Welcome to a new edition of my ArtHeart Feature!. This month's topic is: Animal Photography! Animal Photography is a branch of APN (Animals, Plants, Nature) Photography that involves portraying the magnificence, beauty, and diversity of wildlife on Earth, including domestic and zoo animals. Therefore, animal photography is divided into wildlife photography, zoo photography, and pet photography. Some animal photographers specialize in just one of these categories (even one type of animal, such as birds or aquatic life), or they are dedicated to photographing all animals to learn as much as possible about them. However, photographing animals is more complicated than it seems, it is not just about holding the camera and taking a photo. To be a good animal photographer, you must have the right photographic equipment and consider other very important factors before you start, depending on the type of animals you want to photograph. Time to welcome yet another artist. This time we're saying hi to @WKarellen. I'm a 32 year old hobbyist who picked up art as an adult largely as a distraction from the daily grind of my other passions, writing fiction and composing music. I was feeling suffocated by those pursuits and I had a lot of left over creative energy that I felt wasn't being properly utilized, so I bought a tablet and hit the youtube art tutorial circuit (though I admit I didn't pay much attention at the start.) I'm also a shy recluse online and off that's avoided social media for most of my life. I'm still very new the online art world in general. I was always into video games, especially shooters, JRPGs, and fighting games. I wanted to know how they were made, and art — especially concept art -- was always a big part of the equation. I used to collect gaming magazines like Nintendo Power just so I could look at all the bonus artwork of characters and creatures they often included in the walkthroughs and
I decided to make features for new artists on Deviantart to give them a better chance and a good start. In this feature we're welcoming @MaitresseAevail ~I am MaîtresseAevail, which is not my actual name in the slightest, but rather the name of my primary OC. As seen by my account, I emphasize her existence on this site, but I also plan to better showcase certain other female OCs that are mentioned or seen at least once throughout my deviations. I was born, raised, and reside in New Jersey at 22. I once tried to major in Game Design until deciding that my relationship with games was far too broken to continue, at least in terms of making games. Various life changes later, I'm just here to showcase rough drawings with the intention of growing. ~I started drawing at some point in time during the 1st Grade, where I had a stack of colored drawings that I don't remember outside of a magenta six-sided die. I was likely at my most productive artistically during the next two years for
